It's Christmas Eve, babe...

not in the drunk tank yet but it's only a matter of time if I keep sampling the eggnog ;)
Before the festivities begin in earnest, last words :D

Lots of things were left undone but the important ones are getting ticked off the list peu à peu...
Quizmas - check.
Home for the holidays - check.
Tree decorated - check.

Last Christmas shopping - check.
Eggnog sampled - checking, repeatedly.
Christmas messages/cards/pics - checking now.
Basically, Christmas - CHECK. Chic.
So - before I shut up this shop for the next few days - two more cards, a multi-lingual message and some favourite holiday tunes.

From the wet spot that is Mecklenburg/Vorpommern, and from me and mine - here's wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Frohe Weihnachten, Joyeux Noel, Happy Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad, Gelukkige Kerstmis, God Jul, Buone Natale, CPEЋAH БOЖИЋ,
ᏓᏂᏍᏔᏲᎯᎲ & ᎠᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ ᎢᏤ ᎤᏕᏘᏴᎠᏌᏗᏒ
or - as the Pirates and Pastafarians say - HAPPY HOLIDAYS. May they be merry, and bright, and peaceful, joyful, include a good stuffing (especially for Bolton Wanderers ;), a repeat viewing of the Hobbit trailer, excellent Who & Downton Xmas specials, and lots of eggnog ;)
And the last two cards, for the Whovians and the friends of the black & white persuasion.

And since merry (or silly) tunes are as much part of Christmas as eggnog, and prezzies, and snow rain - here are some of my - old and new - faves.
And bollox-embed-not-working-Xmas-curse... click if you care.
Starting - of course - with all-time no.1 - Fairytale of New York. The Pogues version. Bestest Christmas song EVER hands, and arms, and arse ;), down. Check out Matt Dillon ;)

Only recently discovered (don't know why so late?) - The Real Slim Santa. LOL

From the 'aaaawh, cute' list (was actually looking for the Rolf Harris version of Six White Boomers) - Aussie Xmas ;)

And travelling round the globe - another all-time favourite - from snowy (?) Canada

One from the 'gee, am I really that old?" list - purely for nostalgic reasons. Stop The Cavalry. Bless the 80s.

Must not forget - from the naughty, un-PC list.. un-bleeped. LOL. Every year.

And I could go on, and on, and on (and might even do so later).... or you could suggest some.
For now - off to have the traditional Christmas Eve lunch of potato salad & wieners. And more eggnog ;)
Once more A merry Christmas to everybody! A happy New Year to all the world! Hallo here! Whoop! Hallo!
